William Fayette Barker was a son of John Barker & Alice Cornell.
John Austin's Barker Genealogy says that William was the "son of John, was b. Hope (or Montgomery Co.) 6 Aug. 1823 and d. Northville 14 May 1895, bur. Northville Com. He m. 23 Oct. 1844 Nancy Merriam Buswell, b. Leominster MA 26 May 1821... she d. Northville 12 March 1905, bur. with him. He was a merchant at Northville. He was listed in the 1855 census of Northampton, a res. there for 10 years."
