Bentley, b. Northville, a cooper, son of John H. and Sarah (Wing) Bentley, married Nora F. Claydon. There were also notes for John Henry Bentley, son of William Henry Bentley and Ruth Carver. In 1875 NY State Census, Greenfield: John H. & family with father William Henry & 2nd wife Phebe E. That census also said that William Henry Bentley was born in Dutchess County, the son of John & Rachel (Crandell) Bentley.
FamilySearch.org's AF has a reference: John Bentley, b. abt. 1781 Dutchess Co., NY, m. Rachel or Patience, 1 child: Maria, b. 6/16/1807, d. 1877.
