Edward Miller was the son of George Miller & Harriet Welch. He was named after an executor of his paternal grandfather's will, when Edward's father, George, was a boy. Edward Talbort was apparently enough of an influence for George to name a son after him. In 1843, he caught Scarlet Fever and died of its effects on December 24th.

Note: Edward Talbort was mentioned in the will of William Miller (d. 1790): "I give and devise unto my friends and relations Edward Talbort of Sherborne aforesaid Glasier... all that my Freehold Messuage and Lands situate lying and being at Henstridge in the County of Somerset which I lately purchased of Edmund Batten Gentleman and their heirs in trust for my son George Miller his Heirs and Assigns until he shall attain the age of twenty six years..."
