Elizabeth Ann Hyde, born on 7/27/1791, was the daughter of Thomas Hyde and the widow of William Miller, Leonora (Johnson) Miller. Leonora is not present in the 1841 census which suggests that she died before then and probably before 1837 when deaths were first registered. In 1841, Elizabeth was living with her father Thomas and nephew William Miller who was the son of her half-brother, George Miller. In 1851, Thomas Hyde was dead and Elizabeth was the head of house and receiving money from some kind of pension or inheritance. Nephew William was still living there. In 1861, William was head of house and recently married. Elizabeth and long-time house servant Sophia Baker were there. In 1871, Elizabeth was noted as living at the Trendle St. Almshouse, a few blocks from William's house on Acreman Street. Two years later, her death was recorded.
In the Sherborne Parish Transcripts, there is a note of the birth/baptism of Elizabeth Ann Hyde to Thomas & Lenora Hyde.
