FRANCIS JOHNSON MILLER (1828-1891) & JANE HALL (1837-1907)

Francis Johnson Miller was the son of George Miller & Harriet Welch, born in 1830 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. In 1844 Francis was apprenticed to William Sey, a copper plate printer and engraver. Later as a professional, Francis moved to Sheffield where the silver plate industry was. He took on apprentices himself. Then he met and later married the Jane, the daughter of farmer James Hall, in 1850. Francis and Jane had three known children, Francis, Henry and Leonora. In 1881, Francis Senior moved to Boston, MA to work at the Pairpoint Manufacturing Company. Jane and children came later, as well as Francis Senior's brother Henry. In 1891 Francis died and was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bedford, MA.
