Jane Hall lived with Francis & Mary MILLNS as shown in the census of 1851 & 1861, with Jane noted as being a niece. Francis MILLNS is noted as being born in Faceby, Lincolnshire, which is about 14 miles east southeast of Croft. Wife Mary was noted in the census as coming from a long ways off in Derbyshire. So, it may very well be that the wife of James Hall, Bridget, was from the MILLNS family. In the 1871 Census, Jane with husband Francis J. Miller & children Francis, Henry and Leonora, is living adjacent to Francis & Mary.
[IGI: Francis, son of Robert & Ester MILLNS, bap. 06 AUG 1813 Laceby, Lincolnshire].
At Ancestry.com, there is a marriage record for Robert MILLNS of Dunham & Esther BELLAMY, 20 May 1798, Marriages at Askham, 1538-1837, Nottinghamshire: Register of Marriages. There is also a scanned index card: "Millns Robert of Dunham & Esther Bellamy, Askham Nott 1798". However, this IGI record says they are Robert MILLS & Esther BELLAMY. The marriage date is within range for the birth of Francis MILLNS at Laceby, Lincolnshire in 1813, but Faceby (16 miles SE of Darlington) and Askham (SE of Sheffield in between there and Lincoln) are quite far apart (158 miles).
