JOHN SPRINGER (1762-1837) & SUSANNAH GOOGINS

John SPRINGER was supposedly the son of John Springer and Hannah Trufant, born in 1762, and died on 11/23/1837 in Hancock, Hancock Co., ME, according to various records with FamilySearch.org's Ancestral File and International Genealogical Index (IGI). US Census and other sources were then consulted to support, correct, or add information as noted in brackets.

John Springer and fellow heads of house signed a petition in 1797 sent to house & senate for the separation of the town of Sullivan from the east part. The petitioners' names can also be found in the 1800 US Census for Sullivan. Source: The Maine Historical Magazine, Published 1891; pg. 156.

John was born on November 29, 1762; died in 1837; married on September 13, 1784 in Maine to Susannah Googins (dau. of Roger Googins & Anna ?, b. 3/26/1763). They had 12 children (a composite of multiple unverified sources):
